Following on from the 2006 lecture series of the same name, CASE ran a seven-week lecture series in 2007 looking at how Christian thinking can be applied to contemporary thought. The topics in the 2007 Christianity and Contemporary Thought series are:

• The Trinity

The presenters of the series are: Greg Clarke, Larissa Johnson, Mattheson Russell and Byron Smith.

On 25 June 2007, Emeritus Professor Martinez Hewlett and Professor Ted Peters gave a talk entitled ‘Darwinism, Creationism, Intelligent Design and Theistic Evolution: A Comparison’ in a joint CASE/ISCAST (Institute for the Study of Christianity in an Age of Science and Technology) lecture.

In May 2007 CASE ran a one-day conference entitled ‘Human Need and Christian Care’. The conference focused on the question: What is distinctive about a Christian approach to human need? That is, what does a Christian approach to human need look like? Is it any different from approaches to care in other religions, or in the secular world? Who should be involved in it, and how?
