CASE PRESENTS ITS SECOND ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON MEDICAL ETHICS:

CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVES ON THE END OF LIFE

As treatment of disease improves and life expectancy is extended, many of us will face difficult decisions about life and death. Moral dilemmas abound and ethical choices need to be made. Many of these issues are often news items in the media. This second annual conference is based on our conviction that providing a Christian perspective on medical ethics is essential for the public debate and discourse. Due to the high level of interest and demand for this material last year we have decided to provide a second Sydney forum for those interested in Christian views on the end of life. There will also be an opportunity to ask about bioethical issues that aren’t covered in the talks during the popular ‘panel’ session.

Speakers include Megan Best, Rod Benson, Frank Brennan, Russell Clark and Kate Bradford.  The conference will cover a broad sweep of ethically challenging issues in the medical field. We think it will be a vital day for students and practitioners in the health professions, indeed for interested members of the general public.  Last year the conference was oversubscribed as we could only cater for 107 delegates so please do register now registrations are open.
