2. Quarterly CASE discussion group – THIS THURSDAY
The second Case discussion group for 2009 will be held THIS Thursday 30 July 2009. It will focus on the topic of God and Science as well as more specific issues raised in Case 19 and will be led by Dr Lewis Jones. We thought that one way that we could add to the value of Case magazine and learn from one another is to organise a discussion group after each edition of the magazine is published. Case 19, based on the theme of The God of Science is out now. Anyone is welcome to join us on Thursday 30 July to discuss the issues raised in the articles (on naturalism and the biblical worldview, God and evolution, Belief in God, the role and limits of science in moral reasoning) and other ways in which we can think about science from a Christian perspective. So join us for a roundtable with Dr Lewis Jones on this topic. The details:

2. Case 19
As promised, Case 19 - The God of Science has just been published and is on its way to readers. This magazine explores in depth the multiplicity of views on the compatibility of science and faith in addition to alternative views often offered by contenders through articles from Kirstin Birkett, Denis Alexander, Michael Murray, Lewis Jones and Cameron Blair. These articles examine issues from naturalism to the relation of God to evolution to the role of God in moral reasoning, presenting their subjects clearly and accurately in their discussion of the overarching question “Can science and faith complement one another or are they inevitably in conflict?”
If you are not a CASE associate and would like to become one (to receive Case 19 and three future issues of Case magazine), you will find all the information you need here. Case associates also receive access to associates-only resources on the website and discounts to CASE events.
